Menus

Your menu is the navigation bar visitors use to get around your site.

Classic menus (most themes)

Appearance → Menus

1. Pick the menu you want from Select a menu to edit → Select.
2. In the left column, check the boxes next to the pages you want to add → Add to Menu.
3. Drag and drop items to reorder them. Drag an item slightly to the right to make it a sub-menu (dropdown) item.
4. Click the arrow on an item to change its Navigation Label or Remove it.
5. Click Save Menu.

Tip

Adding a link to another website or a phone number? Use Custom Links, e.g. tel:+15555551234 or mailto:you@example.com.

Block themes (Site Editor)

If your Dashboard shows Appearance → Editor instead of Menus, your site uses a block theme:

Appearance → Editor → Navigation → select the menu → add, remove, or drag items → Save.

Menu locations

Many themes have more than one menu (for example a header menu and a footer menu). Under Appearance → Menus → Manage Locations you can see which menu shows where.
