What Is FooEvents?

FooEvents is a set of WordPress plugins that adds event tickets to WooCommerce, the store built into your website. The Loft, Saltcellar, and Mabella all use it to sell tickets for shows, wine dinners, and other events.

  1. An event is a WooCommerce product. You create it under Products → Add New, like any other product, then switch on Event Settings → “Is this product an event?” and fill in the date, time, and venue.
  2. Customers buy tickets on the product page. Each ticket sold reduces the product’s stock (your ticket inventory).
  3. The ticket is emailed when the order is “Completed”. Each ticket has a barcode/QR code. If the product is set to Virtual and Downloadable, WooCommerce marks paid orders Completed automatically, so tickets go out straight away. That’s why the ULG setup steps always tick both boxes.
  4. At the door, tickets are checked in with the free FooEvents Check-ins app (scan the code) or from the ticket screen in WordPress.
  5. Reports and exports. FooEvents → Reports shows revenue, tickets sold, check-ins, and tickets still available for each event. You can also export a CSV of attendees for any event.

  • Ticket types (e.g. General Admission, VIP) with WooCommerce variations.
  • Attendee details: capture each attendee’s name, email, or phone at checkout, and optionally email the ticket to the attendee instead of the buyer.
  • Event expiration: set a date and time when online sales stop, with a message shown on the product page (handy for “tickets at the door only”).
  • Calendars and lists on any page, with FooEvents Calendar shortcodes. See Setting up tickets.
  • Stationery Builder: design printable tickets, wristbands, and name tags.
