Logging In

Everything you change on your website happens in the WordPress Dashboard (sometimes called “wp-admin”).

Sign in

1. Open your browser and go to your website address followed by /wp-admin, for example https://yoursite.com/wp-admin.
2. Enter your Username or Email Address and your Password.
3. Click Log In.

Tip

Bookmark the login page so you can get back to it in one click.

Some sites use a custom login address or a security plugin that adds an extra step, like a code from an authenticator app or an emailed link. If your login page looks different, follow the prompts on screen or contact support.

Forgot your password?

1. On the login page, click Lost your password?
2. Enter your username or email and click Get New Password.
3. Check your email (and your spam folder) for the reset link, then choose a new password.
4. Put your new password into your password manager. 🔐

Caution

Never share your login with anyone. If someone else needs access, ask for them to get their own user account. See Users and Roles.

Logging out

Hover over your name in the top-right corner of the Dashboard → Log Out. Always log out on shared or public computers.
